really surprised me that the fonts got damaged in the upgrade (I had

Where does this layout file come from?
It probably contains this line

What distro you have ? Also can prove without --prefix, I compiled with
--with frontend=qt --with-pspell

After fonts reinstallation, windows reboot and lyx reconfiguration, it all
works fine now (not sure whether all these steps were necessary...). It
really surprised me that the fonts got damaged in the upgrade (I had
checked that they were still there), but all
sorry, it was my mistake. I do not know how, but in my lyx configuration
was set the value ".ou" for Tex-Encoding. Setting it to "T1" solves the
problem.
