Hallo, no the picture is not auto fitting. You have to click on it, a
preferences window will open. From there you set the dimensions of the
picture: a nice idea is to set is to be large as a percentage of the written
text.
Play with preferences and you'll see! :)

Yeah, infact, which is the problem you encounter? Usually opening multiple
files will open multiple windows.

I think u should add this line in the preamble:
\let...@plain\ps@empty
The preamble can be found from document --> settings. Sorrry if the path
from menu doesn't have the exact same name but my Lyx is in Italian, so...
well, the preamble's easy to find anyway :)

Hallo list, I'd like to understand a fast thing I never considered but am
considering now: is it possible in Lyx or Latex to wrap text around a
picture for real? I mean, in lyx I can do something like that to wrap text
around a picture but, in reality, I wrap it around a square into which

Lyx doesn't support Greek language.
Any other program I tried can, using extra greek fonts, that I have, allow
me to insert in my book Greek sentences.
In the latest email Felice sent, he's just sayin

Hallo people, I'm having an hard time using Lyx in Snow Leopard...
I'm usin Lyx 1.6.3 right now because I cannot in any mode connect to the Lyx
page and all relative pages (wiki, download, etc...), I don't know if the
problem depends on that but I don't think so. I think there's some problem

Hallo everybody, I'm writing this because I'd like to start a new adventure
in lyx now that I know a lot about this tool, only fronted-side, not code or
LaTex side, sorry. So, I'm writing a Role Playing game manual here in Italy
and my idea is that of trying to write it with an opensource software.

Hallo everyone, sorry for my mails but we are in a hurry and the lyx wiki is
not helping me, google neither :(
When I create a TOC in Lyx, it lists all the chapters, sections, etc. in my
book. I can configure it from the document properties, no problem..
then, another feature in lyx is adding Chapt

Hallo everyone, in my girlfriend's thesis, Lyx is making up a little
disaster.. page numbers are on the bottom of the page some times and on top
right on other pages, apparently randomly... why? It never happened to me
(I'm talking about the output pdf file of course, setted the doc to be a
book).
Hallo everyone, very quick question: how do I have the List of Figures and
List of Tables appear INTO the TOC? I just need an entry in the TOC like:
Chapter x: page2
Chapter y: page10
List of Figures: page 50
List of Tables: page 54
Something like that because my teacher wants me to put the TOC o

If I got your problem, right click on a picture / table and you should be

Hallo people, I tried to google for this a lot and to look into the wiki
too, but seems like I cannot find it. I can ensure you I solved a lot of
problems myself by the way :)
So my first question is, is it possible, in a multicolumn document (I only
managed to find the document on 2 colums option.
xecuted the installer several times
- eliminated the preferences folder so that lyx could create a new
preferences folder by itself
- tried the all thing on a new document
- reinstalled the LATEX distribution package
Nothing worked and honestly I'm out of ideas... :(
Greetings,
your help, sure I didn't understimate the power of
Lyx, I just thought it was too hard to achieve my goal, and I was wrong :)
Greetings and thanks again,

found problems usin it, since she has to create a bibliography.
I know you'd tell me to use bibtex or something like that but:
