Hello again Nick
I never thought of that, I'm sorry about that. We tend to use list views all
the time because they're easier for Gordon with VO. I just didn't think about
the view change. But I'm glad you have it working now.

No. I just tried using unmodified arrow keys but actually if you interact with
the table and use the VO cursor it should also work I think. But that's how I

Sorry, Sarah, but I think that's slightly nuts.
How could you not compare two products that do basically the same
thing for usability?
Nobody would ever suggest that except in this situation for some reason.

Hello Esther
You're correct. Gordon has been using Toast since 2006 and in those days it was
fine. But now it's totally unusable for the VoiceOver user. Take my word for
it, all, we own a copy so I'm not just mouthing off, I'm speaking from hands-on

Hi Jonathan, Dan, and Others,
I think that Toast version 7 from 3 or 4 years ago was usable, but the
successive versions got worse and worse from the point of accessibility. In
version 8, some people were able to use the context menu. By version 9, I
think that accessibility was pretty much g

If you have a new MacBook Pro that was manufactured after Apple's decision at

Hi Jim,
I just read a Macworld article posted two days ago about a program called
IMCapture that can record Skype calls on your Mac, but I don't know whether
it's accessible or how it works. There's a link to a trial download given in
the article, though, so you can read through for yourself.

Apparently even sighted people find it hard to use!
