Just to further comment on Gordon's points about the "Partition" tab in Disk
Utility. I think that to prepare your SD card (or a USB memory stick) for
being a bootable volume, the preferred method is to use the "Partition" tab and
create a new partition, which also deletes existing c

The eject key is 1 key to the right on the mac laptop keyboard. I learned of
this I believe through the apple manu when they did the keystrokes there at one
time, 2 years ago. It is a nice way to shut down. Just hit control cmd option
eject to shot down, cmd option eject to sleep and control cmd
If it is an archive, you don't need the client, just go to the site and
download the file.
