Anyway you could maybe do an automater work flow to do this or not. I really
don't know. or maybe an apple script you can schedule. I'm just guessing here
as I usually go by hand and del all the messages per month as my smart mail

Hi, this all depends on whether you're using imap, or pop3. If using pop3,
what's happening now, and what you described will happen. IF using imap, then
sent mail will be identical on any device you have your mail account set up on,
as mail is actually stored on the server.HTH.
I thought of that. Gather all mail in one folder and then delete. I want a

Hello. I just had to do this. quit mail then go to ~/library/mail/v2 and del
your rail account plus mail data and inboxes folders and let it recreate the
account or accounts. don't forget to empty the trash before you do this and do
a tm back up in case you mess up.

Is it possible for me to remove my account and make sure the mail app doesn't
remember any of the settings that I have put in the system in the past? I'm

Just a quick report. Some have reported that they cannot toggle between the
messages table and the mailbox table in Mountain Lion Mail by pressing
VoiceOver+J. This is not the case here, it works both ways consistently.

The hide / unhide mail boxes did not help. However when I tried to import a
single private mail box into Apple Mail on Mountain Lion they all magically
appeared in the list of mail boxes. Seems like there is a bit of a glitch here.

I cannot see the thread so am not sure what has been suggested.
I once had a problem with mails coming in but this was easily rectified when
I went to menu "take all accounts online". I am not on the Mac at them
moment but just check through the mail menu bar and you should find t
experience I recently had with
my provider, they changed a few settings that effected my ability to download
my mail.
When all else fails, though, I would try removing the account and entering
it again from scratch. Note, though, that if you have set up any rules or
signatures involving the
