purchases in iBooks on my iPad it shows that all of my books are downloaded.
But when I go under the my books tab to choose a book to read voiceover says

other epub formatted ebooks, if they are encrypted, (and many of the ibooks

Unfortunately, the names are not meaningful and the file type is epub.
As far as I know, you can only open them in iBooks, unless you created them

Basically what happens is you try and go in to the dialogue and you start to
type onlyto find you are not really in the dialogue. Vo clshift space does not
work, typing will go to the next item if you happen to be in the finder. This
has been happening since the currently release of mavericks.

I have got this working satisfactorily as long as the Ipod is at rest.
However if I pick the Ipod up this interrupts reading,

Yes, it is quite possible to do what you want in iBooks. Once you have located
the page where you want to start reading, make sure VO focus is in the content
area, rather than at the top, where the buttons for things like bookmarks,
contents etc are located. Then do a two-finger flick

once in a while, when in Ibooks, the reading will
stop and I'll get tossed up to the top of the screen and the library button
gets focus. But that happens on the IPod too, not just the IPad.

THis is odd, as I never get tossed up to Library unless I accidentally bump the
iPod somehow. iBOoks reads continuously without any problems.

Well, I've had the I-device lying on a surface that i'm not directly next to
and had it stop reading, but I certainly haven't detected any sort of pattern.
I sort of thought maybe it had to do with memory usage, but can't prove it. It

i like ibooks on the ipad pad as i get 2 pages on one screen but when i
commence an auto read i just hear library button as it is happily reading along
and it just stops. is this a screen saver or something?
the screen hasn't locked, should i set it to never or how
You need to toucht eh area where you have the text and try and do a 2 finger
swipe down from there. I hope that helps.

Using iBooks would be an excellent suggestion, especially if there is a
setting in VoiceOver and/or iBooks that I'm missing.

From what I've read in the press and encountered in the App myself, it doesn't
seem possible to save a document in epub format for general distribution.
Perhaps Apple will eventually release updated versions of their aging iworks
applications and include accessibility
