For my iMac Apple Care told me to turn it off, unplug all the cables (AC Power
cable, keyboard, USB cables etcetera) from the computer and leave it for a
minute before plugging it all back in and turning it on again. This fixed some
strange issues I was having (can't now remember what they were)
I would like to add, if you want to adjust VO on the fly, and not the master
volume, just hold ctrl, options, and cmd, then use the left or right arrows
untill it say volume, then adjust by going up or down.

The sound output in System Preferences is the "master". All output goes through
there, from Voiceover to iTunes to Youtube. Voiceover's sound output setting is
Voiceover's alone. If you set the Mini to use the HDMI output for sound, then
set Voiceover to use headphones, vo will speak through any

For now at least, removing Soundflower seems to have done it. Apps are still
slow to open but not as bad as before, and emails rarely delay when I open them
now. I have also noticed only one instance of Voiceover stuttering, and that
was right after booting up. Hopefully this fix will make a cle
From what I've read bootcamp was pretty much designed just to dual boot
into Windows. If you want to boot into some linux variant or even
triple-boot you'll need to use a different boot loader. There are a

I don't use soundflower but supposedly it includes an uninstaller app,
which is the ideal way to get rid of all the pieces. If you want to do
it manually you apparently have to not only delete the app but also the
Soundflower.kext in /System/Library/Extensions and reboot.

You don't need to buy Growl to do that, you can use Notification Center. I've
set up a shortcut key to get me straight in there. as I have for Launchpad, F11
and F12 respectively as they are easy, and I disabled the existing functions to
get rid of the conflicts. This is all done in the Key
Flip4Mac lets you play some Windows proprietary formats as long as they
aren't encumbered with DRM. Sounds like you need to install the
WindowsMedia plugins to make it work. I think they are downloadable from
Microsoft here:

you reset VO by pressing CMD + F5 four times. I just have this behaviour
sometimes in Pages but not in Textedit. What I do then is dragging the mouse
cursor to the VO cursor and performing a mouse click.
