Although Avid hasn't officially stated when 8.0.4 will be released, it's likely
to be by the middle of June. Again, that's not official but probable.

Hi,
Yes, that's correct. It depends on what configuration she has, but Leopard can
use G4 and G5 867MHZ processors.

I agree with this and own several older macs myself. However, people
(Not you poticually, just people in general) should be realistic about
what there hardware can and can not do.

if your iMac you have is a power PC one, such as a g3, or g4, you're not going
to be able to. THe latest OS that you'll be able to, would be Tiger.

What I meant was that tiger was the first os that had vo built into
it, so
such is why I i knocked on the list door.
I too felt this processor, 600MHz, would not swing leopard.
Indeed pro tools only works in outspoken and os 9 which is what is on this
machine. I need to ask someone about the apple pro keyboard though, some
of the key names are different so some comman
preferable over tiger.

What I meant was that tiger was the first os that had vo built into
it, so tiger would be the least you would have to put on there.
Leopard requires a 800mhz cpu, which from memory would be a g4 so if I
am correct, leopard will not run on it.
Also, I was under the impresssion that pro tools was o
now if you could get you leopard to tide you over, it will run on the g3.

I asked because it tells me if I should just keep waiting for pro tools, and
then make changes, or make a few changes now, or do nothi
