Quit speculating and pull the door trim panel and find out what is wrong. If
you keep running the window you may break something. If it hasn't been
opened in 20 years than it definetly needs to be lubed. The lower attachment

choke adjustment screw your mention. I think that's because the screw sets the
fast idle speed by riding the cam. Choke operation is independent of the screw.

How smoothly and quickly does the window go up? I wonder if it's binding
due to a screwed-up regulator or just needs some lube? Does it matter if
the engine is running or not? Usually, the increased voltage from the
alternator helps.
