My Bad, wasn't sure if Mercedes used it but according to the dealer I
frequently go to for service has told me that BMW, Audi, Mercedes and VW
require a special tool that the dealer uses to disable the airbag. Could be
that Ron's benz wasn't one of them. Had it to have the wiper switch stalk on

1) Disconnect battery negative terminal
2) Remove passenger footwell carpet & remove plastic tray
3) Unplug the RED electrical connector
4) Remove airbag.
That makes sure there's no electrical connection to the airbag wire.
