First I would hit the right side of the center console, on the carpet just
right of the heater and radio. This is where the vacuum unit is, they are
know for having bad solder joints thus hitting there you will often hear a
click and then things start working in which case it will need resoldered.

The high beam on the 74 240D is acting up. The right hand headlight goes dark
when high is selected. A new bulb gives the same response. Fuses in the
fusebox are fine. Where are the connections and relays that ought to be

out with the engine in the car - but lifted as high as it goes.
Everything went per the manual (engine 01-310.pdf) except that the
manual doesn't mention the bottom two tranny to engine bolts that
actually thread into the oil pan

to the basement!) red is of any consequence. Occasionally the red stuff
develops a little hook to it, and that is really the only time folks panic
because the wind-go-round-and-round is a-fixin' to happen somewhere.
On 5/6
I really need to start driving my 2.5 turbo soon. Need to do a few
things to it though, but it drives just fine. Its loud because the
exhaust has a huge hole in it right under the front floor board. Also
kind of squirlly, think rear links need to be replaced.

That lunging did happen several times as we were training our lab, but the
pull is pretty much straight down and he had never gone far before it
stopped him. He was never injured and is pretty easy to walk these days,
except when I use his normal chain collar...
