The TEMPREGLER (sp?) brain box. But that's likely not your
problem. Most likely it's the pushbutton array in need
of a good torturing with a red-hot poker. (I.e. resoldering.)

switch side - no lockdown connection. I am not in a posiiton to clean

Anybody know where I could get one, or a set of gutter mount rooftop
racks? It seems as though one of those make the perfect hoist
attachment for a 107 hardtop.
Doesn't seem like they are sold anymore. Used to be able to buy them
at HF and kmart etc.

I've had several diesels that were missing the seals, more correctly called
heat shields. I saw no damage to the engine and as soon as I realized they
were missing, I installed them.

When I re-did our '82 240D/3.0's
The heat shields protect the injectors from excess engine heat, not the
other way around. Probably no harm done.
