Gerry, the alignment marks should be between the two halves of the driveshaft (where you loosen the big nut and slide it apart). Those splines must be realigned properly when the shaft is reassembled. If you're swapping diffs, you should be able to unbolt the flex disk from the back of the

Thanks Fred, Curt, and others who wrote. Looked at the flex disk that came already mounted on the replacement diff and didn't see anything but the Mercedes logo, the part number, and the number 10. The side facing the diff appeared to have more lettering but couldn't see it very well tonight.
