there are no bolts actually holding the alternator, this tensioner
adjusts the alternator in/out to get the belt tight.
The other thing to check is the belt itself, but I am thinking the

weirdness. Junk in the valve body can do the same. I'm a firm believer in M1

I have a 1996 and my understanding is the 1996 1997 are NA and the 1998-99
are turbodiesels. The badge is probably fake. I would probably not buy one
where turbo had been added or aftermarket. The NA diesel is not as fast nor as
fuel efficient, but I can say I think it is a great vehicle

124. I'd say it is a good fit. Plenty of length. Bottom goes over
the body of the strut. Top hole in the boot is 14mm, the diameter of
the strut rod.

I just installed a new pad on my W116 on Sunday. I believe it has two
benefits, one it quiets the engine noise a bit, also it insulates the
paint from the heat of the engine (though in the summertime the heat of
the sun is probably just as intense, so I'm not really sure how big a
deal that is).

In my 87 TD, the leak was in the low pressure hose. It should have
been replaced as part of Andrews rebuild/refurb of the system. When
the LP hose leaks, you don't notice it, except maybe some oil spots
on the pavement where you park, but by far most of it goes on the
road while driving.
I loved mine. Less mundane than the Jetta TDI I now have.

Sand the edges of the break to roughen them up, mix the epoxy, then spread
