I found him on FB. He’s getting ready to head back to India on Thursday and is
pretty well booked up for the week, so some other time.
Not sure what the deal is with India. He was there last year for a while as

I thought John Berryman was the one doing work for FEMA, though I
No, King John is in FL, Berryman was the FEMA guy and I can't

They are vacuum just like all the other cars. If they are laboring you have a

Laboring may not be the right word. They lock/unlock at the appropriate
speed, quickly, but I can hear them operate. It sounds almost like when
you open a balky hood latch. But, I guess it's normal.

I'm not sure. I can hear it at the rear so I reckon it's either the fuel

The 74 does look interesting. I'm tempted, but distance is an issue (from
NJ), as is my current commitments to other car projects.
Looks like a repaint, obvious from the data plate. Was it the whole car,

I don' tknow those cars but the solenoids in the SD/TD doors have a
diaphragm with a plunger that then attaches to a linkage. Anything in
the path, including whatever actuator, would be fair game.

I suspect this car is like the 124 & 140 cars, and there is a pressure / vacuum
pump either under the rear seat or in the trunk.
Could be you've got some leaks at the suspect locations, either diaphragms or
fittings.
