house so tight so as to pose a danger of hypoxia (lack of oxygen) is
extremely rare -
Gerry, if you had had hypoxia (lack of oxygen) in the car, you would have
NEVER known it or felt anything - like the guys on the flight from FL to
somewhere in upper Midwest several years ago - one of 'em was a pro golfer,
I think. In the movies, when trying to dramatize hypoxia, they go to
it all apart, noticed a notch on a pulley
which I think nicked the belt and caused it's early failure. Luckily,
wasn't an interference engine. Phewww.
That last tow home, was about 2 kms, less than 4 mins, cost me about $80!
Still better than pushing it home. lol

addition to the good feeling from doing it yourself, labor for my chain
replacement yesterday was $280 plus $5 shop fee. Yeah, I'd feel better
now if I'd done it myself, but I sure feel better now that it's done than I

did he change out the plastic rail guides as well? My 86 560SL had a
good chain but found the guides were broken when we lifted the valve
covers. Oh wait, maybe the diesel engines don't have these? Dunno.
