I can get Chevron Delo 400 in 6 gallon cases at Sam's Club, that's what
Marshall swore up and down that Shell was a group III oil and nothing

Thanks Rick. I seem to remember a few ppl saying, while the M1 is good, the
zinc content is still lower than was is recommended for older air cooled
porsches. I could be wrong.

Mobil One motorcycle oils have the highest zinc content, but they are not
cheap. M1 15w-50 is next.
came from Nat Gas.

Randy,
For your usage I'd say stick with conventional oil. With a 617 engine and no
additional filtering you can't do
extended change intervals which is one of the big reasons to use M1. The other
is for easier cold starts but you
don't drive your car

I doubt diesel comes from Nat Gas.
I think what the GTL is saying is that a component can be created from
Nat Gas, or, that diesel can be made from Nat Gas. As I understand
it, many of the industrial plastics we use these days are created
YMMV

drive your car in the winter a block heater and/or (since you get
serious cold) an oil pan heater would do the job to get you going.
I've been using Delvac 1300 in my 240D.
