Seems like there is pitting. I used a shop towel and water to wipe what came off easy, but there is heavy accumulations and I got a new wheel brush (garbage it turns out) and went to work. Brush self destructed. It was a combination bristle and scour with a nice handle. Just disintegrat

Caution! The Maserati's are well known to "vapor-lock" according to an former acquaintance that was a factory trained tech. I myself almost bought a Ferrari 400 when I got here. There was a nice blue one for six grand but it had an auto trans.no chance I'm going to buy an automatic Ferrari!
