I suggest running some tests with tcpbench,
after the change to poll I was able to see around 600 connections with a
decent throughput.

usually runs on small underpowered servers/routers, hammerfs is only usefull

May I suggest a compromise? It sounds like many cannot afford the CDs and
shipping, and most who spend money on the CDs are motivated to do so by the
art and stickers. Assuming that a flat envelope will cost far less to ship
to Brazil than will a CD, why not

I can't boot the installation CD with a macbook, with the bsd.rd
kernel I have the bug #5653.
With bsd.mp my keyboard locks up when it asks for a root device.
It's the last generation of white macbooks.

First try to make a ping from client---server, then call tcpdump icmp on
the server and check the source address reaching it, make sure that the
source ip is the client's IP.
I bet some node of your network is doing NAT, and the server is responding

I'm trying to export an mfs filesystem, but it seems not to work.
fstab reads
/dev/wd0b /tmp mfs rw,nosuid,-s=524288 0 0
exports reads
/tmp
I found out, my home was being mounted with the nosuid option.
I believe would be sabe to have some comment refering to this situation in
the exports manpage,
don't know if it is me but it took me the weekend to figure it out.
