As much as I didn't care for the film, I enjoyed the fact that Spielberg referenced earlier 1950s Hollywood films. As you recall, in the original RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, the entrance to the tomb (or whatever it was) rested on the light of the sun hitting a certain place on the rock.
