pond at Green Lea Golf Course in Albert Lea, Freeborn County. It’s a birdy
wetland. Stop at the pro shop and a kind person will tell you where to go. It’s
about a 400-yard walk or drive from the clubhouse.

I hit the road at the right time yesterday. A pleasant journey across
parts of Freeborn County and Waseca County produced more looks at Horned Lark
flocks than automobiles.
