I'm at Canterbury Park in Shakopee and the field next to it has about 500+
Gulls Geese and Ducks! 3 different gulls for sure! Franklin Herring and

I have no proof but when I first scanned the field for any other oddballs.
I was looking for potential Icelands and thayers. One gull was next to a
ring billed but it was noticeably smaller. What stood out was that it had
greenish legs. I had no idea what it was. I tried to get photos through
my sc
No luck with the Mew this evening, but Lesser-Black Backed, Glaucous, and
Thayers Gulls were present among the Herring and Ring-Billed Gulls at the

there were two different first-cycle Lesser Black-backed Gulls. One

In the late afternoon about 100-125 gulls showed up at the west outflow of
Black Dog Lake. Earlier in the afternoon, about the same number of gulls
were seen roosting on the rooftops off of Highway 13 near the Burnsville

Last night while driving on MN Hwy 13 north of Waterville, MN, my
wife, Leanne, observed several hundred nighthawks, with some gulls

Saturday at about 3PM, there was a first winter Thayer's gull at the western
flowage off Black Dog Road. Saturday and Sunday there was a first winter

Saw one adult Herring gull, 11 bonaparte's gulls and dozens of Ring-billed
gulls on Lake Detroit today. There was one flying 200 yards out that
immediately caught my eye. It was small (bonaparte's or forster's tern size)
and had very dark wings. It had a very shallow wing beat, almost not fla

My last post the other day I reported an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull. I took
some long distance photos of the gull and shared the photo with some local
birders. Kim Eckert responded to let me know the leg color was wrong as well as
the size and shape. I spotted this gull on 10/28 at 1:30pm.
