The Xing MP3 encoder is exceptionally fast. Do they cut corners to get such high
performance? Is their code written in assember?
Who knows how did they program it... But they did sacrifice some quality.

"The Celt" performed by Enya. That explains why I haven't found it
yesterday. The are a lot of similar spots in a lot of Enya albums.

Thank you for the link. I'm checking it out. I was actually looking for
"ordinary" CD portable players this time; not the ones which play MP3s!
:-) It should have CD-RW compatabillity - and if possible, with DSP. I've
found one from Philips which is good, but it doesn't have DSP.

Kenwood's "Superior Drive": Ground Breaking Technology? Not really.

around 20Khz!]. opened it with CoolEdit, deleted one channel and pasted the
