It is the copy protection. If you play a copied Xak2 this is the effect.
This kind of protection is more difficult to find then a red screen
saying "This is a copy". So copiers think that everything went well, and
hackers will have to do a lot more searching to crack it. (and maybe at

I don't know if it's useful, but I found it on my harddisk when I was
cleaning it up. It's a discription about how to connect a 24 pins FDD (I
didn't know that existed) to a MSX.
24 pins ---> 34 pins
1- +5v ---> n.c.
2- +5v ---> n.c.
3- n.c.
4- +5v --
Due to server problems at my ISP, the MEP is very badly reachable at the
moment, and more offline then online. I hope they wil solve their problems
soon. They installed new Y2K patches last week, and since then it as been a
disaster !
