table full when using file_per_table

I'm using innodb_file_per_table on a version 4.1.12 server on RH linux. At one point I got error 1114 "The table 'X' is full". Aren't these tables autoextending? I don't think I reached a linux file size limit. A call to ulimit shows the file size is unlimited. The file was a couple of Gig.

Hmmm ... several references online make it sound like that's all you should need to do (the alter table statement, that is). My next step would be to try a 'CHECK TABLE data QUICK' to see if it reports anything unusual. If it does, issue a 'REPAIR TABLE data' command. If check table quick repor

You have also 3000 * 7 millions columns to left joins to x,y,.. others tables. And you use myisam. this will certainly be a big update problem. I suggest you to transform your query into : 1. select using the left joins to see first the number of rows to be updated 2. according to this number th
