figure on several hours in the attic, having to run fishtape down the
walls to drop CAT5, messing with plate covers, having to punch down
the jacks in a couple of spots (1 up from the router, 1 down to the
xbox), test and pray
It will work, that's how I am using the remote from my Avermedia card. The IR
receiver described on he LIRC site works even better than the orig. one for my
tv card.

When I am in the window manager (evilWM) or Myth the display has a pin
cushion effect, which I expect is because I have a 10 year old analog
TV. However, what I am concerned about is that when
I had a problem with my PVR-250 overheating. It caused vertical banding
in the picture. Added a small fan to blow on the PCI cards, and all is
well now.

I have no OSD as I still have trouble getting X to work on the PVR-350. It
is not showing anything beyond the schedule on the VGA screen.
To me it looks like the horizontal resolution is provided with an
aspect ratio such that the vertical resolution can be determined for

Mine says that exactly. I can change the channel using the ptune-ui.pl
script, but not with mythfrontend.
For troubleshooting purposes, I dropped the DB and reloaded it fresh
(new install) and ran mythfilldatabase. All was great, and I could
