Thanks guys, yes I changed the speed setting in mythtvsetup to 400
mbps. Now, plugreport shows that the data_rate=2 and stays
there. However, it didn't seem to fix my display issues.
It's not a stuttering necessairly, more of a slow-down - like
it's in slow motion for a second or 2. -it does this

For anyone looking for another option, I've had pretty good luck using
xxmc. So far it seems to give the best picture - virutally as
good as my standalone DVD player. Xvmc doesn't work at
all, and xshm looks terrible on my setup. Haven't tried opengl

Mark, I don't have a solution for you but I'm wondering what issues
you're having with the Firewire-made recordings? I'm having issues
with playback of Firewire recordings where the video slows down
every couple of seconds. It only happens on digital channels (though
not all digital channels...)

I'm wondering if maybe the new compiler or runtime is treating inf/nan

getting the EXACT same thing. I loaded to 18.1 for the sole purpose
of being able to use OpenGL video sync, since it's now a runtime
