you probably need to do is add this line to /etc/modprobe.conf:
install bttv /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install bttv /sbin/modprobe dvb_bt8xx
That should be enough to get it recognised.

I'm not sure that's entirely accurate - there is no such thing as
a single 'proper' mpeg2 format. There are lots of entirely valid
variations of mpeg2 only a subset set of which are DVD compatible
for example.

Sounds like the same problem that I had. Apparently it's because
OpenGL vsync support has been turned on in those builds and it doesn't
work on some systems.

of the AFD channels don't have adverts however, but I think there is
one that does - certainly Five was, but it may have changed recently.
I'm not sure how Myth handles those two cases however, or what you
