With any tatball the procedure is:
1. Open a terminal.
2. Change directory to where the tarball is e.g.
cd
Very odd.
try this:
disable sound systen in kde control
reconfigure the knotify script: true/true/true
reverify that alsa is up across the board
enable the sound system
and see what you get.
If it is still funky create a new user, something like chuck2. Log out and than log back on as chuck2.

loaded a new one and determine it works? Also how do you remove old versions
from the LILO Screen? I have limited space and want to clear out as much old
stuff as possible.
