DrakConf is the new desktop configuration panel which enables users to easily configure and modify hardware devices such as video cards, keyboard, mouse and even USB devices. very funny... I HAVE DrakConf on my desktop, but when I click it, NOTHING happens!!! Any idea??

Marc...I'm not sure what version of linux you are using, but I'm using Linux mandrake complete 6.5, and I did a server install, and all of my exhisting dos and windows partitions are still there and I port data back and forth between them, I had no problems with losing partitions or anything

MarcWhat version of windows are you running? How is your Windows 98 bios set for booting, scsi or IDE? Dual booting from both scsi IDE drives may not work well, or at all, on some systems. How was the bios set before you dedicated space on your IDE drives to Linux? no idea. All worked

CD-ROM...' message it gave me: 'mount failed. Invalid argument; and then 'Error mounting ramdisk. This shouldn't happen. I am rebooting your system SAME problem here!!! It stucks when its says "reading ramdisk..." any help please!

The lovely thing about the ISO image was that I got a self-booting CDROM from it. Entire Linux installed with nothing but one CDROM disk. And it even worked with the hard drives the previous version wouldn't touch (36.5 gig Maxtors). yes, I believe that, but DOES IT WORK with the downloaded

instead of /usr/local. You can try a ./configure --help | more to see all te options. marc RPM will ONLY install *.RPM files. If you have a "tar.gz" or "tgz" file, you'll need to untar and unzip it. The way *I* do it (which is a "shortcut") is "tar -xzvf file
