[newbie] Newbie question

I dl'd 8.2 and installed it. I created another user acct besides root to play with it. I ran the Mandrake update right after I installed it, updated everything it said to and logged out. The KDE login comes up, I can log in with my normal user and everything is fine, but when I try to log in

Lucio, Mandrake80-inst.iso is the image to actually install LM 8.0 on your computer, whereas Mandrake80-ext.iso is the image for the extra applications not necessary to install and run LM 8.0. You don't actually need the -ext image to be able to install and use LM 8.0, just the -inst one.
