Hi all, On my 9.2 box, I am trying to print to a network printer. I go through the MCC and try and set up the printer. When it tries to configure the printer, it comes back and tells me that it Failed to Configure the printer. I am at a loss, because I have had this printer set up before

I had similar problems with my Canon 610. When I could get it to work, all it would print is garbage. The problem lies with Canon. If you follow the link I've posted you can read about my experience, And how it was solved. It might help you as well.

skinky, Its not a queued file is it?  Try lpq to see if there are any entries.   Just a shot in the dark... I have fixed it! It meant killing a lot of lp processes under top as well as the cupsd. It was not a qued file - but it was still a file that was constantly being told to print -
