Hi,
I can't get Apache to serve cgi pages on my 8.2 installation.
Pointing Konqueror to http://localhost/ serves up the default Apache welcome

Roger,
I'm having the same problem. I think the test is actually printenv,
but that's not working either, despite 755 permissions. I'm looking
through the conf files now--I'll let you know if I find the answer.
Please let me know ASAP if you find the solution first!

Roger,
I found the culprit. Near the beginning of the commonhttpd.conf, you'll
find a section that sets directory options for the website as a whole:
Directory /
[blah, blah]
Deny from all
/Directory
The Deny from all tells Apache to disallow anybody to connect from
anywhere

I double checked by BIOS. PnP is definitely NOT ON. I also set the IRQ 10
to Legacy ISA. I have also double checked that the NIC itself is not set to
PnP. It is manually set to 10/300.
I am using DHCP but

Reboot doesn't do anything. (Too used to using Win, I had to try it.)
Thanks

Then i'd ping the loopback address (ping
Well here are a few commands to run to see if Mandrake sees the card and
is going to have a chance in hell of using it.
[eric@ericekong eric]$ cat /etc/modules.conf | grep eth

That machine has a 3Com card in it. So your 3c59x may read something
completely different. If it's

OK, I keep repeating myself, but it doesnt seem to do much good... so one
more time and I'm through:
www.grc.com is a decent site, and I'm not trying to knock it, but for linux
it doesn't hold much validity. It is a site for WINDOWS security, and tests
machines as though they are Windows boxes.
It has been taking a VERY long time to see my messages. I wait 3-8 hours
most of the time. I may have had the address goofed up. In any case this is
a test only so you can ignore it as you wish.
