Does anyone know what the CLI command is to launch netscape mail
separately from Netscape - the web-browser? I'd liek to add it to my
menus if possible. I'm
OK Steve. My bad. Didn't think to Google my question first. Your idea
worked. Did a search at Netscape and found the answer right away. The
CLI command, by the way, is /usr/lib/netscape/netscape -mail ,
assuming that this is the location for Netscape on your PC, which it is
for me.

How do i send email as text and not HTML. I've looked every where in Kmail and
can't find that setting.
Want to buy your Pack or Services from MandrakeSoft?
Go to http://www.mandrakestore.com
i think you'll find that currently kmail does not compose in html but in plain
text only
if you meant to ask how to compose in html then you'll have to specify an
external editor but if that is the case please reconsider if html is
necessary

On default, KMail uses plain text. But, just in case the HTML is turned on,
you must turn it off in: Setting Security Prefer HTML

AFAIK, KMail can only send plain text. The setting that you cite refers to
how
KMail reads mail. If it is set to Prefer HTML to plain text, then incoming
HTML mail will be displayed in HTML format (fancy fonts, colors, yada, yada).
Thanks people: I got it sorted out

Has anyone else experienced the Evolution mail client losing their email
addresses and saved email? This has happened to me twice. Funny thing
is that Evo did not lose my mail account info so its not like my whole
config was lost. At this point I've switched to Thunderbird.
Thanks,
Brandon

I assume you have postfix/qmail or similar set up properly. You need
that to get this mailthing done.
In the config for postfix (which I use), /etc/postfix/main.cf, you need
to have your local machine name as a valid domain (docs inside the file
are very good).
Do you send mail to user? If that
I am trying to set up 'local' mail on my Mandrake 9.2 box (i.e. mail
between user accounts on the system and for notification of cron jobs
running, etc. rather than Internet mail) but I can't seem to get it to
work. the 'mail username...' command works but when I run 'mail' to read
the mail I
