Hi All;
We are seeing an odd network problem with some duel boot Mackintoshes.
When booted in Win7, but not in OSX, they periodically drop their
(wired) network connection. We can either run the network diagnostics,
which finds no problems but restores the connection, or unplug the cable
Wake on LAN is enabled, Low Power is disabled.
That right??

I use VNC to control my servers. Today I went to update them. I updated
one of them and all went well. Then I updated the next server. When I
restarted I went to launch the VNC and the desktop shortcut AND the
program in Program Files disappeared. I reinstalled VNC and the same

Recently, in one of our open Faculty labs, when a user inserts a flash
drive and goes to My Computer, the flash mounts as a folder instead of a
disk. If the user clicks on it, it either opens a dialog asking what
program they would like to use to open it or an access denied dialog.

When I do a DCDIAG on the one that hasn't been replicated from
everything except frsevent passes. On the DC that hasn't received the
replication I get the error that replication hasn't occurred for a month
with the errors 1753 and 1256 also the frsevent fails.

replication failures in the event log. Running Dcdiag on Dad returns a
lot of messages in the Replications section , mostly 1753 errors with a
1256 thrown in for good measure. The diag says something about Mom

I'm getting old and senile. I used to know how to do this. There is some
where that you can change a user's permissions so they can join an
unlimited number (more than the default 10) of workstations to a
Domain. I need this so I can give someone this and only this
administrator right.
