You put the CD interface driver in CONFIG.SYS (such as
"DEVICE=OAKCDROM.SYS" for IDE), and then you run MSCDEX.EXE in
AUTOEXEC.BAT.

You can run it. Just don't expect a whole lot of support. :)

There's a different between "Compatibility Mode" and "XP Mode".
Compatibility Mode runs the program under the native OS, but does
some magic to make

If you have Win7 you can run the app in either XP Mode or select and older
OS to run it (by setting this in the program prop
