I installed 3.4 on windows
3.3 is gone, what can been repaired, but: all the extensions and there
macro's are gone as wel. Problematic is that the Menu-toolbars of the
deleted extensions are still present and pops up when starting. There is
no way to delete this extentsion-related-toolbars.

after the latest information (thanks Regina) we get about this issue
[1], I think it is no show stopper for the 3.4.
It seems a problem with the path length. If the path is longer than 72
(which of course is not long) we run in trouble on these systems. The
font cache can't be created.
