Your DB user/pass/host credentials are either wrong or you should check the tables that are created if those have UTF8 encoding. If UTF8 is the problem you need to stop mysql, set the server_character_set=utf8 restart mysql and rerun the installer (but into a new db of course). Sebastian

One way is to go to the red5 folder and run the red5.sh (linux) or red5.bat (windows ?) script. That starts the red5 server which came with openmeetings installation package. Or then you can just reboot the whole server and start you services (red5, openfire) after that. Thou booting a Linux bases
