I've been doing "prodreg unregister "Sun Studio 12 software"", then removing
/opt/SUNWspro (since prodreg by itself gives me "Could not find prodreg GUI
program: /usr/dt/bin/sdtprodreg"), and now I can reinstall Sun Studio 12. But I
can't launch sunstudio after installation:

The problem with x64 laptop to be used as an engineering workstation is that:
1) it does not provide ECC RAM
2) it is noisy (more than fine-tuned desktop)
mainly due to (1) I rather use classic desktop now.

How can you be so sure? My experience shows that disk start to mess up data a
long time before it starts really failing. For example on my last ThinkPad, I
used it 3/4 year and got strange segfault in one app

Also, the Desktop Sharing method doesn't work if the remote server (to
access)has no keyboard or mouse,i.e, if the remote machine is not log in, or if
