I think what it boils down to is the windows bundle installer wasn't
written to use an external database... I would happily use the internal db
server if

If your Application and MySQL servers are on different boxes check to ensure
the MySQL server is listening on the correct IP address AND tha
looking some more at the error. it seems that the installer is trying to
look for the database on the local machine.. i guess this is hard coded
into installer.pl..

configuration, there is a mismatch between them and make sure that otrs

I just ran the windows installer for otrs it was able to connect to my db
server just fine and created the table and the user and give me all green
after that step of the installation is complete. however on the next page
it throws the error in my subject line.. any guidance on this ?
