Someone told me that there is actually a type of sound card in the headset.
I notice that when I plug it in, the computer sees another sound device
that's usb. I just can't get the mic to work.

called Replay Media Capture and you can try it for free from
www.applian.com. If all you want to do is capture videos from Youtube
then the demo is enough; other recordings however will be shortened by half.
