envelope. It is a compression tool for multiple file types. If you have
say 100 files you want to send to a friend, some might be WAVE, some mp3,
others might be .AVI or Flac etc. The point is you can compress all
RAR files are archive files, like ZIP files, so you don't convert them,
you unpack them. I'd recommend 7-Zip from: http://www.7-zip.org/

assuming you have the program winrar or a program which can handle .rar files.
the easiest way is to
1 put your cursor on the file name which has the .rar extention.
2 hit the applications key.
3 down arrow to unzip here.
then you'll have the uncompress file or folder.

I've been using WinZIP practically since it came out. How is 7Zip

using the .RAR compression format. One free program that you can use
to extract the files from the .RAR file is 7-ZIP available from
www.7-zip.org. If you are expecting an audio file it is likely that
you will be able to play
