the world, and I live in the UK, and nobody has ever tried to do this
to me. When somebody decided to take my cameras they just came to my

There is your problem. Jam the leader into the needles, wind the film one
time to get the top sprocket engaged, then pull cassette across the camera
and push it into the well. It keeps tension on the film, keeping it engaged
on the sprockets. If you do it right you don't have to fiddle. I admit it

It actually wouldn't be that tough if it were a matter of flipping a
floursecent bulb or something overtop of the neg, and turning a switch
off.
However, anything beyond that IS s

Shel, it does. If you insert the leader first you keep tension on the film
holding it on the sprockets while inserting the cassette. The other way does
not and quit often the film pops out while you are trying to wind in onto
the spool. I did it the wrong way for years, yes you can load it that wa
Sounds slow. I did it like that for years. Now I have learned to push the
end of the film in the fingers, crank it until the top sprocket catchs a
couple of holes, insert the cassette in the chamber, close the back, and
wind on to zero. Takes five seconds flat. And since I started doing it that

Hi all,
I've decided that it's time to fix some cosmetic faults with some of my
gear - my Z-1 and Z-1p both have broken baseplates near the battery cover
and my AF500FTZ needs a new "bit of black plastic at the front of the head
that the transparent bit clips into".

I just had the same experience. I'd say it's sad except that some stores
probably won't survive without faster turnover in their used equipment.
On the other hand they won't be getting as much since anyone who can
will get a better price for their stuff by selling it direct on e-bay
as well.
