I believe it was Bruce Dayton who inquired in regard to framing with the
short extension tube and 300/4 lens. At minimum focus, I get tight head
and shoulders, just about perfect portrait framing. At infinity I get
about 4 feet of frame on the long side, about knees to head on a model.

Aperture ring is snappy, focusing is smooth; no conspicuous mars or scratches. Front
glass is clean. However, there is some dust in the rear; I've never noticed the dust
in my photos, but I shoot with ISO 800 color print film. A North American buyer will
