SCA is short for Society of Creative Anachronism, and they get together
wearing medieval garb, and practice its culture and values (chivalry etc.).
It's a global thing and really quite fascinating. You can see some of my

I have not read the article yet - but I do have the 28-200/3.8-5.6 Tamron,
the version before the current one. I bought it cheaply from eBay and mainly
out of curiosity. I have tried to test the performance at the long end and
found that used as it is meant - snapshot and travel lens - it performs

or Z1P. Unfortunately it is smaller and Pentax has never produced any
screens other than standard for *istD :-(

It's grinning because it's known as a Laughing Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae). Very
common in Australia where Rob lives. Basically a giant kingfisher that eats snakes,
lizards and small mamals and has a laugh-like call "koo-koo-koo-koo-koo-kaa-kaa-kaa"
