The 50 has a focal length = 75mm if you were using film (good for faces), and the 28 has a focal length = 42 if you were using film. I think that 43mm is what is considered to be 1:1 with your eye (that is, it is not being magnified nor is it wide angle), so a 28 and a 50 should cover most of

All CCD sensors capture in analog and convert to digital; CCD is short for charge coupled device, which means that the exposure value for each of the sensor elements is read out as an electric charge (pedantically still digital, according to quantum physics, but effectively an analog quantity).

For still photography work, a quality desktop LCD display should only require recalibration/profiling about every other month at most. I see less than 2% drift with the Apple Cinema Display 23 (2006 generation) in six months. The Eye One Display 2 is an excellent calibration/profiling system.

Is there a public web site for posting photos taken with Pentax equipment? I see a lot of posts on this list inquiring about lenses, and it would be helpful if there was a gallery when Pentax users can post some pics. I'm ignorant here...there may be one or more, but I don't know about them.
