Really it is a 10 page brochure designed to make you want to buy their
lenses but, HEY, it's free and you might pick up a tip you can use. (I
liked the idea of the car emergency flashers providing fill during a
long exposure).

Shit. I Just now nearly had a f***in' heart attack!
I'm sitting at my desk reading this & I tried to move my chair a little
and it didn't want to roll. I turn sideways & look down to see if
something is blocking the wheel & my hand brushes something sticky. It's

That's really nice, Don... oh, Cotty already said that :-)
I knew where you were before I looked at the photo -
Wondering how many US State Capitols are painted gold - seems to me
there are a lot.

If that's where the legislature meets, it would be more appropriate if
it were "fools gold".

I think Georgia's Capitol Dome is actual gold leaf.
North Carolina's is copper. They had to replace part of it several years
ago & it took a long time for the new part to weather to the same shade
of green as the old part.

It was Ken who had gotten the metallic paper for some reason and
mentioned it that had me trying it to - It really pops.

Based on their practice from the last few years, I expect that they will
announce a major new camera just after the Christmas buying season.

I already predicted what I expected to see last spring, but what the
heck, I expect that Ricoh will announce, a 24mp camera either a K-3 with
a FF frame with K-5II specifications in all other ways, or a 24mp APS-C
K-5III with even more improved focusing, and a nod to improving the
flash system.
Neat rendering of the interesting architectural details.

The only arrow I could see were the double arrows that go from one
page to another, not from one image to another

Nah, no SR-71. I flew in the back seat of the old F-4B Phantoms. It
could do Mach 2 and get up over 60, feet, so it was a lot of fun
