and the camera looks very plain and ordinary, hence it doesn't attract a lot
of attention. On the downside, the manual may as well be written in a
foreign language and the controls are not intuitive.

Advice sought regarding an effective hood for the M35/2. I seen to recall a
recent post recommending the Pentax hood from a 50mm. And a long time ago
there was a post regarding Nikon hoods and this lens or similar. Any
suggections welcome.

found two options at a good price.
MZ50 with standard Sigma zoom (28 - 80)
SF7 with SMC-F 35-105
Both same price (approx 130 USD) in very good condition.

As a "late starter" myself, a little tip I learned the hard way (last week).
If your tank has a plastic reel, make sure it is 100% dry before attempting to
roll the film in. If it's not dry, the film bunches up and everything starts to
feel "crunchy". Not good.
Also, if you want to get consiste
I use Excell S400PX Silver 1.5 V: $8.95 in Adelaide, camera shops only. The back
of the packet states that it replaces Mercury Batteries E400N, RM400R and
V400PX.

I've heard you can get a Tamron 70-210 f4 Internal Focus (IF) zoom lens which
will turn a normal slr into an autofocus.
Is it true??
1) Do they work very well? (AF wise)

Your Spotmatic is not broken! - who needs a stinking meter
for "Sunny 16" flower shots in good light, anyway. I suggest
that you unload that overly automated paperweight and return
to the "True Art of Photography" w/ your Spotmatic. Just pretend
it
Hope you enjoy the K1000. I cut and paste the attached comments re a variety of
Pentax 80 - 200 zoom of which the A series is included. I'm not sure where it
came from, however it was off the web in the past 2 months.
