I believe you'll find all of the pure mechanial bodies
to be stepless. The detents are in the dials only, and not
in the mechanism. The linkage is linear between them --
there are no gear

uses floating elements)
FA 100/f2.8 macro: 105 mm from the front of the lens filter, but that
