[ my 7 step guess of Leaf Shutter use ]
1) Focus and meter (leaf shutter open)
2)Set Camera to 1/8s
3) Set LS to metered results (aperature, shutter speed)
4) Cock the LS

There was one on eBay, sale ended by now, of a complete 67II kit, for a huge
amount of cash!! No, I'm sticking out for a 67II, but I think all their
cameras are great. I would be right in the mire if I sold one of the MXs,
such is its perceived value at home.

JCO,
Thanks for the tip. I already have the 55/4 and got the later
version. In retrospect, I may have been just as happy with the
55/3.5. Live and learn. I am still pondering the 300 issue. Pretty
much boils down to close focusing. It would be great to try them side
by side to make sure.

I can answer a few of your questions. First, in regard to lenses, the late model

is wonderfully sharp and contrasty. The normals are both great as well -- the

Malcolm,
I really love my 67II. If you are just going to start with one lens
for awhile - I would choose either the 75/2.8 or the 90/2.8. The 75
is close to a 35mm and the 90 is close to a 45mm. If cost is a
concern, go with the 90 as it can be had used easily. The 75 is a new

I think 1/500 is the fastest shutter speed. You need to set the
body to 1/8.

Cheers,
For the last year I have been debating about MF quite a bit. I'm not
getting rid of my 35mm gear, for I use it and have a nice kit that
I slowly work on improving. The size and lightness are important
for a lot of things. However, I started out in photography long ago
